Refund policy
Returns
Our returns policy lasts 14 calendar days. This period starts on the day after delivery of
your order. If 14 days have gone by since the delivery of your order, we can unfortunately
no longer offer a store credit or an exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, unworn and in the same condition that
you received it. It must also be in its original, unopened packaging. Any sign of wear may
lead to the return being refused or to a store credit being denied. To help you choose the
right size and avoid mistakes, a size guide is available on our website on all product pages
of the Clothing, Costumes or Accessories collections. In the case of a return due to an
unsuitable size, the item must strictly meet these conditions (unused, unworn, original
packaging intact and unopened).
Only items with a proven manufacturing defect may be eligible for a store credit without
conditions.
The return of certain types of goods is not permitted. Perishable goods, such as food,
flowers, newspapers or magazines, cannot be returned. Likewise, we do not accept intimate or
sanitary products, hazardous materials or substances, or flammable liquids or gases.
Other items that cannot be returned:
• Gift cards
• Downloadable software
• Certain health and personal care items
• Personalized / made■to■order items
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Articles L221■18 to L221■28 of the French Consumer Code, you have a right
of withdrawal of 14 calendar days from receipt of your order, without having to give any
reason and without incurring any penalty.
To exercise this right, you simply have to send us a clear statement (by email to
contact@monpetitchihuahua.com) before the end of the 14■day period.
Products must be returned, at the customer’s expense and via Mondial Relay, in their
original condition, unused, complete and in their original packaging.
Upon receipt and inspection of the item(s), we will issue a store credit for the amount
paid, excluding shipping costs. All refunds are issued exclusively in the form of store
credit that can be used on our shop.
Exclusion of the right of withdrawal for personalized items
In accordance with Article L221■28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does
not apply to goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized,
in particular:
“Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized, the manufacture of which
requires specific adaptations to meet very precise technical and aesthetic requirements (for
example, a made■to■measure piece of furniture or garment).”This applies in particular to products that include personalization (pet’s name, custom
design, exclusive colours, etc.).
These items cannot be returned, exchanged or credited, except in the case of a proven
defect.
Return procedure
To initiate a return, contact us via our contact form or by email at
contact@monpetitchihuahua.com stating your order number, full name, the item(s) concerned
and the reason for the return. This allows us to process your request more quickly.
In order to validate your return request, we may ask you for photos of the product and its
original packaging. This allows us to verify that the return conditions are met before the
parcel is sent.
After validation, we will send you the return procedure and the return address. Any parcel
returned without prior validation will not be accepted.
Processing may take up to 7 business days after we receive your parcel.
Refunds (if applicable)
Processing may take up to 7 business days after we receive your return. Once your return is
received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your
returned item. We will also inform you whether your refund is approved or rejected.
If approved, your refund will be processed as a store credit. All refunds are made
exclusively in the form of store credit that can be used on our shop. You will then
automatically receive a code for the corresponding amount within a few days, or your
customer account will be credited with the corresponding amount.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you have not yet received your credit, please check your email inbox and your customer
account (section “Store credit”) again.
If you have done all of this and you still have not received your credit, please contact us
via our contact form or by email at contact@monpetitchihuahua.com stating: order number,
full name, item(s) to be returned, reason and, where applicable, photos of the product. This
will help us process your request faster.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items that were originally defective or damaged.
If you need to exchange an item for the same item, contact us via our contact form or by
email at contact@monpetitchihuahua.com stating: order number, full name, item(s) to be
returned, reason and, where applicable, photos of the product. This will help us process
your request faster.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will
receive a gift credit for the value of your returned item. Once the returned item has beenreceived, a gift credit will be added to your customer account.
If the item was not marked as a gift when purchased, or if the person who made the purchase
had the order shipped to themselves to give it to you later, we will issue the credit to the
gift giver and they will be informed of your return.
Shipping
To return your product, a return address will be provided to you by email.
Shipping costs for returning your item are at the customer’s expense. They are not
refundable. If you receive a credit, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from it.
We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you
may vary.
